Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$20.000 - $22.314 - $26.777

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

Assures the proper receiving and distribution of all incoming product, i.e. medical supplies, records, and equipment for use within the hospital. Responsible for tagging of equipment/minor assets; tracking of same. Assures product/equipment is delivered to requesting department. Facilitates shipping of outbound products and equipment. Responsible to package/assist with packaging all outbound shipments in accordance with regulatory requirements. Sorts incoming mail and packages/parcels from the US Postal Service and various commercial carriers (UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, etc.).

Required Qualifications

  • 2 Years experience in Materiel Management or mail handling; healthcare industry preferred.

  • Less Than 1 Year continuous experience in a warehouse environment.

  • Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles OR Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A - CA Department of Motor Vehicles OR Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED

Preferred Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent

  • Other Some college.

  • Receiving experience.

  • Experience with business software (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.).

Other Qualification Requirements

  • Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with the requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines.

Essential Functions

  • General supportDemonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, neatness, clarity, adherence to a high level of work with a minimum need for checking and correcting. Understands and performs fundamental procedures of the job. Displays competence in all areas.Accurately receives all incoming items to include inputting into computer system and completion of appropriate paperwork. Contacts supplier for discrepancies within 2 days. Assures that product received matches packing slip.Regularly checks for compromised packaging and/or damage to any incoming equipment or supplies. Completes proper supporting documentation to facilitate return of damaged goods to manufacturer/shipper within 2 days of receipt.Accurately processes and delivers Capital items including completion of paperwork, utilizing computer. Completion of Asset Management reports, interacting with Bio-med or Engineering, physically tagging equipment and delivering item.Demonstrates proper procedure for delivery and distribution of incoming supplies and equipment. Facilitates delivery of all stock supplies the same day as received. Facilitates delivery of non-stock orders within 24 hours. Ensures departmental delivery signature for deliveries. Facilitates the delivery of priority items to appropriate areas within 2 hours of receipt.Assist with researching and reconciling invoice problems and returning to A/P within 3 working days.Appropriately packages/assists all outbound shipments according to Department of Transportation guidelines.Creates/maintains filing system for packing slips, receivers, manifests, etc. allowing for easy document retrieval.Sorts incoming US mail by department upon delivery of mail by Postal Processing. Ensures all properly addressed mail is sorted before the end of the day. Receives and delivers to addressee overnight parcel post packages with 2 hours of receipt.Investigates improperly or incompletely addressed mail to determine addressee department. Maintains stock of parcel post carrier free carrier free supplies (freight bills, etc.) for customer use.
