  • Summary *

The Patient Service Representative represents Sharp Rees-Stealy by providing patients with appointments, information and other operational support services for assigned

department. Provides a high level of customer service in a manner consistent with our Mission and Goals. Responsible for patient registration, demographic and insurance updates. Confirms insurance eligibility and obtains authorizations for service. Works with patients to resolve billing and insurance related issues.

The Sharp Rees-Stealy Department of Otolaryngology consists of 7 providers on our staff to help meet the needs of our patients and is located at 3 of our Sharp Rees-Stealy medical clinics in San Diego (Serra Mesa, Scripps Ranch, and Sorrento Mesa).

  • Location *

This position is located in Sorrento Mesa, San Diego County.

  • Hours *

Per diem: 8-hour day shift;

8am-5pm or 730am-430pm - with flexibility to work 10-8pm if needed occasionally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Medical office experience required with a strong emphasis in customer service, computer skills, and phones or completion of a medical receptionist or equivalent training program.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Medical Terminology required.

  • Preferred Skills and Qualifications *

  • Completion of a medical receptionist or equivalent training program preferred.
