Sharp HealthCare Digital Product Strategist in San Diego, California

The Digital Product Strategist/Digital Product Manager is responsible for product management of current and future Sharp digital assets. The primary role responsibility is for strategic direction, product planning, roadmap creation, execution and adoption of solutions throughout the product development lifecycle. Additional responsibilities include business case development, competitive analysis, product requirements, product status reports, delivery/launch, site integration, training, reporting/analysis, and performance monitoring. Candida tes must have a proven track record in product management.

Core Product Skills:

Develops and executes product plans and roadmaps for various Sharp platforms with clear understanding of the market direction, regulatory requirements, technology trends, competition, and other variables impacting product strategy. Works with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and communicates effectively with clients to help prioritize initiatives. Focuses on product development to help strengthen Sharp’s relationship with its existing patients and attract new customers. Continually seeks innovative ways to deliver a positively memorable individualized health care experience via digital products. Helps prioritize resources and implementation based on true return, whether financial or patient satisfier.

Design and UX:

Understands patient and consumer needs to present the customer with the best possible user experience across all products. Works with the Information Architect and UX/UI team to help create wireframes and user interface for all products. Manages the relationship between design and development for all product enhancements. Researches the conceptual design of new product features or site enhancements via focus groups, usability tests, analytics and other research methods.

Product Development:

Familiar with Agile development methods. Confidence writing user stories, participating in Scrum ceremonies and conducting UAT and production validation. Works with internal development teams, creative services, project management, and business units to identify and develop digital products. Understands the core business objectives of clients and translates to measurable and achievable goals they can attain from digital solutions. Gives strategic direction to group of site owners/subject matter experts for customer-facing digital properties. Provides expert analysis and consultation, in support of working group projects and products, including review of timelines, strategy development, requirements definition, design, IA, development, QA and user acceptance testing.

Client services:

Consults with business units and internal team members to represent the digital procedures and processes with clients. Represents the organization as a subject matter expert on products, including presentations, client collaboration, and other support as needed. Analyzes client needs/requirements, and identifies and communicates options and proposed digital solutions. Evaluates results and recommends changes to strategies, coordinating efforts with business units. Manages clients’ expectations regarding timing and deliverables.

The Product Management team sits within the Digital Marketing team but works closely with IT and business units to help create the best digital products for our customers and patients. Each person on the team is a leader for their product, and works autonomously to bring the best out of the core working team.

This temporary position is located in Kearny Mesa – San Diego County, CA

Hours:

Temporary position, 8 hour shift, weekends as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum (3) three years’ experience in a digital product management role. Please include a cover letter that speaks to your experience in a digital product management role.

  • Minimum (1) one year of experience with Axure or other prototyping software

  • Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and email software

  • Experience with web 2.0 tools and platforms

  • Proven technical skills in content management systems and content workflows

  • Experience in a product management role, preferably in an ecommerce, digital marketing, web development, or health care capacity preferred

  • Advanced presentation and communication skills

  • Requires occasional work outside normal business hours to respond to clients

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience working in an agency setting or in a large health care system setting

  • Experience developing products in both Agile and waterfall environments and developing mobile applications

  • Web analytics experience
