Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$46.957 - $60.590 - $74.223

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

Provides application support, data analysis and system analysis for all applications related to Business Intelligence technology.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 Years experience working with business intelligence tools that included systems analysis and/or information technology activities is preferred.

Other Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Nursing, or Health Care Administration (relevant experience in excess of three (3) years or appropriate certifications may be substituted). - Required

Essential Functions

  • Data analysisPerforms comprehensive analysis of source system data and data within the data warehouse to meet client business needs.Analyzes and implements effective client workflow support.Using sound knowledge of business and IS strategies to translate business requirements into system solutions that meet project requirements.Analyzes user needs/requirements through a variety of appropriate methods such as: on site visits; review of department policies/procedures; review of system capabilities; ensuring attainment of optimal functionality; user satisfaction.Demonstrates forward thinking by conducting thorough analyses of data requests and changes to implement proposed solutions.Uses effective interviewing and analysis skills to elicit client requirements.

  • Documentation and supportEnsures all department documentation is current, accurate and available. Department documentation includes, but is not limited to, specification documents, source to target documents, project plans, reference materials, on-call documents.Works with principle analyst and programmer to develop project plans, scope documents, specifications, source to target documents, framework specifications and support documentation.Ensures documentation is completed for all projects and kept up to date.Assists in the development of department documentation for support of applications/users.Follows department change management procedures for documentation and notification to clients.Completes project server tracking reports.

  • Problem analysis and resolutionUtilizes effective and creative problem solving techniques within Information Systems accepted framework to develop quality services and resolve problems.Performs a thorough problem analysis using sound judgment and initiative.Identifies root cause and determines remedies for problems.Identifies and communicates options and proposed solutions.Develops a comprehensive analysis of pros/cons and implications of proposed solutions.Seeks out required data for problem analysis and resolution.Responds to on-call issues in a manner and timeframe consistent with the department guidelines, including ticket transfer procedures, if transferring is appropriate.

  • System configuration and testingConfigures, develops, and executes test plans to ensure optimum system performance and adherence to change management processes.Ensures the appropriate use of test environments.Creates and executes test plans adequately.Assists in the maintenance of software changes across the production and test environments according to department SDLC procedures.Performs the following testing phases as required with project: unit testing, integration testing, parallel testing, desktop testing (integration), performance testing and user acceptance testing as required in a timely and accurate manner.Ensures that testing demonstrates adequate understanding of the following: application functionality; client workflow; tables; schemas.Ensures that production delays do not occur due to negligence or failure to follow proper procedures.
