Sharp HealthCare Decision Support Analyst in La Mesa, California
Sharp Grossmont Hospital has created a new central hub, The Sharp Experience Center and Insight Center, that will be responsible for monitoring day ‐ to ‐ day operations via real ‐ time data feeds. The Decision Support Analyst will be a change agent in the day ‐ to ‐ day operations of the hospital by monitoring worklists, dashboards and key performance indicators that pertain to the Service/Hospitality domain. This position will drive the movement to enhancing the patient experience.
The Decision Support Analyst will be a key contributor to future Process Improvement (PI) projects, create additional worklists or dashboards and a key contributor to further enhancing the operations of the Insight Center. The Decision Support Analyst is a person that understands hospital operations and how they relate to each patient’s experience during their visit.
In addition, the Decision Support Analyst will be the key point person for creating, validating and running patient experience data, including Press Ganey and HCAHPS survey data, to support Sharp Grossmont Hospital mission to provide the Sharp Experience to all of its patients.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing, Business, Analytics or applicable field
Relevant experience in excess of three years may be considered
Three years of experience in hospital/clinic operations, nursing or other health care-related specialty with additional experience in data collection, analysis, presentation, performance improvement, computer programming, decision support and/or business development/planning
Excellent computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint (or other presentation software) skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Cognos, Microsoft VBA, SQL, PL-SQL, and Cerner Millennium/CCL knowledge
